About the Speakers

Oliver Jay

Oliver was most recently the first Chief Global Revenue Officer of Asana, the world's leading work management SaaS company, where he was responsible for leading the company's self-service and enterprise sales, customer success, and business development teams.

He helped Asana grow from less than $20M to $500M in annual revenue in less than 5 years. Oliver also led the company's expansion across 9 countries.

Oliver was previously an early business executive at Dropbox and currently serves as an Independent Board Director at Grab, a Southeast Asia-focused superapp. He holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Eriko Suzuki

Eriko is a tech and social impact angel investor focused on Wellbeing and Sustainability, and currently an advisor to VCs, Director of Tokyo Women in VC, Board Member of private and public companies, and executive coach.

Eriko was a founding member and Managing Director of Japan’s first ESG focused VC MPower Partners, and GP of Fresco Capital and Investment Director of Mistletoe, etc. Eriko started her career in Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley and UBS and later became Japan country manager of Silicon Valley based drone startup.

Eriko is the author of “How we live, will be how we work” (Daiwashobo, 2018) and translator of New York Times best seller “Mission Economy: A moonshot guide to changing capitalism.”

Thomas Jeng

Thomas Jeng is General Manager at Aspire, a Series C fintech backed by Sequoia Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners. He is responsible for building the business, spanning strategy and commercial execution.

Prior to joining Aspire, he held a variety of roles in the startup and venture capital space, including: 

  • Leading go-to-market and customer success as VP, Head of Commercial at Gnowbe, an early-stage EdTech company 

  • Leading expansion in Asia, Europe, and Africa as Head of Global Business Development at 500 Startups (now 500 Global), a worldwide venture capital firm and startup ecosystem builder

  • Building Junction, a platform for digital innovation talent, as Co-Founder and CEO

Thomas began his career in strategy consulting at firms such as Boston Consulting Group and Gartner. Thomas holds a bachelor’s degree in International Politics from Georgetown University and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
