About Event

An intimate, connective concert series that's unlike anything you've experienced before.

Part gig, part worldbuilding ritual, Meridians transforms individual struggles into shared art and a communal mythology.

As you listen to the musicians play, you're invited to explore your "meridians" — the spaces between our true selves and the images we project.

Through simple prompts and visual responses, your collective reflections shape a new character that will live on in our emerging universe.

Come for the music, leave a creator of worlds.

Meridians is for storytellers, music lovers, wandering souls, budding romances, wellness enthusiasts and anyone seeking new forms of connection.

The Story

As a child, the Minnesota-born singer-songwriter MacEagon Voyce had a debilitating stutter. It became impossible to trust his voice. Singing was the only way to cheat it, but even then, he was bullied and forced to turn inwards. In time, a rift emerged between himself and the image of himself, and they grew in tandem until he could no longer tell them apart.

He is MacEagon. The image is Moon Man. They are one and the same, spanning myriad unseen thresholds between life and death, darkness and light, love and loathing.

The Event: Meridians

MacEagon realized that everyone has a Moon Man inside of them. Each of us has a “meridian,” that liminal space between the “true self” and the images we project to the world. Meridians is a conversation between these selves, and a collective reclamation of voice through music.

Drawing from brooding melody makers like Angel Olsen and Thom Yorke, as well as prodigious vocalists like Jeff Buckley and Joe Cocker, the Minnesota-born & London-based singer-songwriter invites you to take part in the reclamation.

This session, he’s joined by the talented artist, Serena Clara, who makes existential poetry pop that morphs organically to the point of feeling alive. Embedded in her lived experience, her music has roots in folk and explorations in experimental electronic, while clearly honoring the powerhouses of femme alt-pop.

As they perform, you're invited to explore your hidden self, and to express what comes forth on a leaflet you'll be given. Grounding us in reflection is the incredible well-being and relationship specialist, Dr Adriana Candeias. For decades, Adriana has supported transformational journeys in authentic relating, embodied mindfulness, and cultural transformation.

Adriana will guide our initial intention setting, taking the moon phases as inspiration, where we reflect on the cycles within our own lives and how we can align more fully with our truest selves. This heart-centered activity will help us connect deeply to ourselves, creating a space of openness and receptivity for the music to unfold.

In the throes of spring, we'll gather in celebration of balance, renewal, and rebirth, and consider how we, too, can find poetry in our pain, and morph organically to the point of feeling alive.

Braneworld

After the show, your expressions will be gathered and woven together by AI. They will be collectively transformed into a character from Braneworld, a digital realm and forthcoming TV show where our selves collide.

Our personal stories will be remade as shared lore, representing this unique moment that we shared and will never be repeated again.
