Our panel
Kathryn is a chartered accountant who worked for many years as the consultant accountant at an international law firm. Among other appointments she is NED at the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, National Highways, the rail operator of last resort and Chair of the Press Recognition Panel. She was previously on the External Audit Committee of the International Monetary Fund, a NED at the UK Supreme Court, Companies House, the UK Endorsement Board and Crossrail/Elizabeth Line Committee. She is past chair of the ICAEW Financial Reporting Committee and the Financial Reporting Advisory Board to HM Treasury.
Alice has a portfolio of non-executive roles and is an executive coach/mentor through Future Inclusion. She is an NED and Chair of the People Committee for the Financial Conduct Authority, is Chair and Pro-Chancellor of the University of York, and is an NED on the Government Commercial Office Remuneration Committee. She is a past NED and People Chair Committee of HMRC and Transport for London Board member. She has also chaired several public sector advisory groups. In 2014 Alice won a Sunday Times Non-Executive Director of the Year award. She received a CBE in the 2015 New Year Honours.
Shernett Ranson took on her role as Head of Public Appointments Talent and Outreach with a cross government focus in July 2023 where she oversees efforts to attract members of the public to serve as public appointees. Prior to her appointment she was a Senior Policy Advisor for machinery of government changes across the public sector landscape. In a private sector context this would be mergers and acquisitions. Shernett has 20+ years experience in the civil service across a number of departments and policy areas.
Edward leads Nurole's work in the public sector, and advises clients across central & local government and public bodies. Edward has 8+ years of government consulting experience, most recently as Head of Strategy & Business Development at PUBLIC Group.
