​"Mitigation: Making the Familiar Unfamiliar" with Dr. Elizabeth Vartkessian, mitigation expert and Founder and Executive Director of Advancing Real Change

​This session will serve as the first of a multi-part series on mitigation in Operation Lone Star cases. The objective of the course is to share practical, actionable tips for conducting mitigation work under the unique circumstances of OLS cases. The course will be geared toward both attorneys and their non-attorney support staff who might assist with mitigation investigation and reports.

​The first session will focus on mitigation work that can be conducted early in the case. Due to the nature of OLS felony cases, attorneys often need to put together mitigation materials in a condensed timeline. Dr. Vartkessian will focus the types of mitigation materials and investigation tactics that attorneys and staff should prioritize when working with limited time and resources.

​This training is approved for 1.5 hours of CLE credit. We have apportioned 15 minutes at the end of the session for a question and answer session.
