It will delve into developments and breakthroughs, outline the essential actions required in 2024 to advance the Early warning for All Initiative, and examine the role of COP28’s global stocktake in accelerating progress..
This event will feature insights from a distinguished panel, including:
Thomas Asare, Assistant Secretary-General for the World Meteorological Organization.
Ghisliane Echeverry, Director General of the Instituto de Hidrología, Meteorología y Estudios Ambientales (IDEAM).
Kamal Kishore - Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Disaster Risk Reduction; and
H.E. Hajja Naseem, former Minister of State for Environment, Climate Change, and Technology of the Republic of Maldives.
Additionally, Cristina Rumbaitis del Rio, Senior Advisor, Adaptation and Resilience, at the UN Foundation, will deliver a presentation.
