Climate Biotech Community Social
SF climate biotech friends!
The entire Homeworld team will be in San Francisco for our spring offsite, and we’d love to gather with the Bay Area climate biotech community while we’re in town.
Join us for a relaxed evening at Uzay Gallery, a live/work art space. There will be light food, drinks, live music, and an art exhibit setting the tone to help us connect with friends and new faces working at the intersection of biology and climate. You can find more information below on the music and art.
Arrival information:
Please show the person at the door your registration information when you arrive at 199 Capp Street. It is the first doorway by 17th Street on the east side of Capp.
Music
We will be joined by illb3bach (Instagram, Soundcloud), who will play piano for us at the event. illb3bach is a California-based musician, scientist, and community organizer. They enjoy composing music that highlights connections between nature and society. You can often find them playing as the house pianist for Cafe International’s community jazz group or cultivating the queer surf community throughout the bay. If you get a chance to talk with them this evening, ask them about their particle simulations and audio explorations!
Art exhibit
Uzay Gallery is currently exhibiting Art is for Healing: Shadows and Light, a group exhibit curated by Lén Sol Studios. The exhibit is an immersive experience featuring works embodied in the full expression of contrasting forces and elements. Together, we illuminate the spaces within, befriending our shadows, integrating and celebrating the beauty of our complexity — as individuals and as a collective.
The featured artists are Andrei Valladolid, Andrew Tuazon, Armaan Mumtaz, Ayesha Brown, Bay Hill, Breno Aragan, Brianna Hart, cherry, Gregory Thomas, Laura Dalzell, Lauren Anastasia, Pear Pear, Masarap, Momoko Schafer, ruby jay, Sabine Strauch, Trisha Mah, and Wyphys.
