Consumer AI Edge Hackathon : Hugging Face, Meta, Scaleway & EF
About the Hackathon
We're excited to invite you to the first Spotlight hackathon! This is your chance to explore the future of on-device AI and compete for amazing prizes, getting support from research scientists and engineers from Hugging Face, Meta and Scaleway.
This hackathon will challenge teams to create innovative consumer (B2C) use cases leveraging Hugging Face, PyTorch and other open source on-device tools and models.

It's hosted by Entrepreneur First in collaboration with Ekimetrics, in their sick offices in the center of Paris, and with Unaite, the french student movement to promote AI innovation.
The Challenges
You'll have two days to build an application using the power of edge computing. Get excited about what can be achieved on edge devices like smartphones ensuring that the solutions created are not just powerful but also efficient and secure. Think about:
Privacy: On-device data processing to keep information secure.
Real-Time (or Offline) Performance: Reduced latency for instant feedback (potentially requiring no network connection).
Mentorship and Support
Expect tools and hands-on mentorship from top experts across:
Hugging Face: access to compute resources, tools, and technical mentors specialized in on-device AI.
Meta: access to Meta's product and engineering experts to guide your projects
Scaleway: access to GPUs and technical advice

Event Details
Date: From Friday, November 22nd, 12PM to Saturday, November 23rd, 6PM.
Location: Ekimetrics, 36 rue Lafayette, 75009 Paris
Participants: 100 spots available, teams of 5 people only.
Prizes: winning teams will receive $5K+ in cash prizes (more to be announced soon!)

Food and drinks will be provided, and you can join as a team or individually. Make sure to add the names of your team members in the application form if you apply as a team :)
NB. All the final teams must contain 5 people. If your team is not made of 5 people, you will need to pair up with other applicants to complete your team.
Not that this is an in-person hackathon. We won't be able to allow online participants.
