Foundations of Yantra yoga
This is an introduction to the practice of Yantra Yoga, an unbroken lineage-based Tibetan system of yoga that fully coordinates breath and movement. Yantra Yoga’s unique series of positions and movements, combined with conscious breathing, can help balance your energy and relax your mind, providing a basis for contemplation. Yantra yoga leads to improved health, relaxation, and balance. This series is open to both new and experienced practitioners.
This class will be the first of an ongoing series of pop-up classes outlining and informing a complete system of practice.

About the instructor:
Luke Karamol, RYT has been studying and practicing yoga for over 25 years and teaches Tibetan Yantra yoga, Hatha yoga, and breathwork in Oakland, California. He was authorized to teach yantra yoga by his teacher Chögyal Namkhai Norbu in 2013. He completed studies of Harmonious Breathing with Fabio in 2015 and has been inspired by the insight it has provided in unlocking the benefits of mindful breathing with people from all walks of life. A passionate learner, Luke’s classes are informed by his studies of yoga as well as his understanding in the somatic and manual therapy traditions. Luke has assisted programs at Kripalu, Shang Shung Institute, Yoga Tree-SF and presented at San Francisco State and Stanford Universities.
