☕ What We Do
We host intimate, coffee-driven gatherings at New York’s best independent cafes. Each event brings 20 strangers into a shared space for real conversations, new ideas, and long-term connection. Sometimes we break into small groups. Other times, we let the room guide us. But every time, we leave with new friends.
Just coffee, conversation, and the belief that something beautiful happens when thoughtful people meet IRL.
🌍 What We Believe
Cafes are more than just places to grab a drink. They are third spaces (those spots between home and work) where ideas spark and relationships grow.
We are here to reclaim those spaces, one gathering at a time.
🏙️ What to Expect
With your ticket, you’ll gain access to our private gathering at Paper Coffee, plus a complimentary coffee or non-alcoholic beverage on arrival.
We’ll kick things off at 10:15AM with a round of quick introductions so everyone gets a sense of who’s in the room. After that, you’ll break into small, randomized groups to dive into meaningful conversations, guided by fun prompts and curated icebreakers.
By the end, you’ll have made a few new connections — maybe even a new collaborator or friend. We’ll wrap up together, then leave space for everyone to roam, chat freely, or grab another cup.
📖 Our Story
We didn’t start with a grand plan...just a love for coffee, and the places where people gather around it.
A few years ago, while living in Vicenza, a quiet town in Northern Italy, Baron stumbled upon something that would shape everything to come. He discovered Café Pigafetta, a local spot run by lifelong coffee aficionados, Luigi and Carla. Like many Italians in the region, they treated coffee not just as a beverage, but as a daily ritual. From sunrise to sundown, the cafe buzzed with life. People came not to rush through a latte, but to linger, talk, argue, and laugh. It was a sacred space. A space of connection.
Fast forward a few years, that moment has grown into what you have found today, Third Wave Coffee. What began as a humble coffee review channel in South Florida has evolved into a growing community of creatives, founders, builders, business minds, and fellow cafe crawlers here in New York City.
TL;DR: Baron lived in Italy and became a coffee junkie. This turned into a cafe community in NYC.
