About Event

Gubns and Of Architecture invite you to the opening reception of our curated pop-up exhibition, Beyond Blueprints, as part of the London Design Festival and Open House Festival.

Join us on Friday, September 20th from 5-8pm to meet the twelve architect-makers whose exquisite artworks have been selected for this unique pop-up exhibition. These multidisciplinary designers were chosen for their thoughtful interpretations of how traditional architectural drawing informs their craft, and how the 2D perspectives translates into 3D craftsmanship.

You'll have the chance to meet the makers, hear the stories behind their creations and get your hands on their limited-edition pieces, available exclusively through Gubns.

Inspired by architect Andreas von Foerster’s playful yet profound explanation of architectural drawings during a dinner party, Beyond Blueprints challenges us to look beyond technical plans and discover the beauty of craftsmanship influenced by architectural practice.

We look forward to sharing an evening of design, conversation, and creativity with you. We'll have a variety of drinks, including ethical soft drinks sponsored by @karmadrinks.
