​​Indy Hall is celebrating our 17th Anniversary! All month long, we're featuring special guest presenters and a series of weekly themes. This week's theme: "Indy Hall 2040: 17 Years into the Future"

​This week's guest presenter: Mike Barsanti of The Library Company of Philadelphia

​As we celebrate 17 years of Indy Hall, we look to our past for blueprints of our possible future. We also look to communities that we can learn from, like the Library Company of Philadelphia, who have embraced independence and mutual growth since the beginning of the United Stated of America.

​Mike explains, "the 250th anniversary of American independence is coming! Organizations like Indy Hall have been a part of how this country gained independence and how we keep it. In particular, the Library Company of Philadelphia - the Indy Hall of 1776 - played a big role in teaching Philadelphians about what independence meant.

​For 2026 we are going back to those roots and connecting history to the needs of our democracy today."
