Raising capital from investors is difficult and time consuming. You want to make a good first impression. Investors want to make decisions quickly.

Steph Patterson explores how to incorporate tried and true storytelling tactics to make your pitch more memorable and persuasive.

A great pitch deck is the key to capturing the attention and imagination of a potential investor, and perhaps the single most important document your startup will generate. The first step is gathering all the right content. But what makes your presentation stand out is how you arrange and present your ideas.

In our 3rd session of the Fundraising series, you'll learn:

  • How to turn your high concept pitch into a great pitch deck
  • Common mistakes founders make and how to avoid them
  • How to present your ideas visually and tell a great story to investors

Following Steph's talk and Q&A, a panel of Founders and VCs will share the lessons learned around storytelling during the fundraise process. Our panelists for this session will be:

  • Eugene Johnson, Founder & CEO, Zyrl
  • Mac Conwell, Portfolio Manager, Tedco
  • Jesus Salas, Associate, Omidyar Network
