Join us at our 2nd annual event: Funding Futures, Raising Glasses for Classes!

This special fundraising event features an open bar, hors d'oeuvres, a specially curated local vendor market, and a sharp presentation with updates on our work and the incredible students impacted by it.

Featuring: Tunes by DJ Milk and guest speaker from Agents for Advocacy, Mark Talley.

Last year, Arbol Community Fund distributed $55,000 in emergency micro-grants to 50 local college students to help them push passed financial barriers and make it to graduation.

Help us to make an even greater impact this year by joining us at Funding Futures!

What is the Arbol Community Fund?

Arbol Community Fund (ACF) provides micro-grants that can cover tuition or non-tuition expenses without a repayment obligation and connects these students to a community of supporters. These efforts ensure that low-income students graduate and have a chance of attaining professional and financial success post-college.

The #1 reason students do not enroll or complete their degree is financial. Our community aims to alleviate that burden for our local college students.

Who is eligible?

  • First-generation college students

  • Native to the Western New York area

  • Enrolled in a college or university in the Western New York area

  • Demonstrate a clear financial need

Types of funding available

  • Emergency funding of up to $1,000.00/student to help with day-to-day expenses (ie. transportation or gas, meals, rent, utilities, textbooks, etc).

  • Retention grants for tuition of up to $3,000/student.
