About Event

Brief Intro:

Allocate and Vauban present a masterclass in fund formation.

‘Fund in a box’ will discuss all key considerations when starting a venture capital fund— from fundraising to fund economics— with unique insights from LPs and GPs.

LPs Perspective: AQVC - Alena Schollmayer serves as an Investment Manager at AlphaQ Venture Capital. She focuses on identifying top-performing fund managers with a strong impact footprint. Besides working as a Venture Capitalist, she actively supports female founders and investors through diverse mentoring programs.

VC Fund Manager's Perspective: Sasha Kaletsky - Creator Ventures is a consumer-internet VC fund investing in social media-native apps, marketplaces and SaaS that advance how humans interact. Cofounders Sasha Kaletsky (prev. PE at Bridgepoint, launcher at Uber) and Caspar Lee (cofounder influencer.com, creator with 6m YouTube subscribers) help founders with advice around brand, influencer and social media marketing. Creator Ventures grew out of a creator / celebrity investing syndicate formed in 2019 and have invested alongside influential people including mainstream celebrities and global content creators with a collective audience of over 100 million.

LPs Perspective: Blue Wire Capital - Bertie Highmore co-leads the investment team at pre-seed & seed fund BWC. Alongside their primary focus of supporting innovative companies early in their journey, Blue Wire Capital also has a history of backing emerging managers and helping them through their early funds - they have backed the first funds of now well-renowned brands such as Hoxton Ventures, Entrepreneur First and Isomer Capital.

Moderator, Vauban - Gabriel Shin is the Partnership Lead at Vauban. He's helped advise emerging fund managers on structuring issues and fundraising. He's also an angel investor and active in a number of communities within the VC ecosystem.
