​Join Dansen Mayhay and the Mezcla Media Collective community for a casual chat and workshop! We will dive into what it means to build a strong financial foundation, how to navigate variable income, and identifying the various tools that exist to create financial freedom.

​ABOUT DANSEN: Dansen Mayhay (she/her) is a queer, first generation Filipina American who was born and raised on the Southwest side of Chicago. Raised by a single mom with a village of support around her, Dansen grew up learning how to embrace independence, autonomy, and staying true to who you are. She began her professional career in the Anti Violence non-profit sector in 2017; advocating for and with survivors of violence. Her experiences ranged from individualized emergency shelter case work to training large corporations on LGBTQIA+ inclusion. In 2022, Dansen transitioned her career to the Financial Industry, which changed her perspective on advocacy for BIPOC LGBTQIA+ community within historically cisgender, white, male dominated spaces. Her vision in this career is to empower and educate diverse communities with the knowledge and tools of building financial stability, strategically working towards goals, and creating sustainable generational wealth.
