Making a Custom ChatBot with ChatGPT

Want to make a chatbot? In this hands-on workshop we’ll dive into the creation of custom GPTs. Primarily using OpenAI’s ChatGPT you’ll build your own chatbot and begin training it on data that you’ve selected in advance. Whether you want to emulate a historical figure, create a digital twin, or develop a knowledge assistant, this workshop equips you with the tools and insights to bring your ideas to life. No coding skill required. All you’ll need is an account with OpenAI and 5-10 documents to begin training your model.

In future workshops we’ll explore other models for advanced chatbot creation and deploying these on websites.

Takeaways

By the end of this workshop, you’ll have:

  • A basic understanding of GPT technologies.

  • A working chatbot prototype tailored to your chosen theme.

  • We’ll discuss ethical and practical considerations for deploying AI.

Whether you’re creating a digital museum guide or a chatbot to inspire curiosity, this workshop is an introductory step to using AI creatively and responsibly.
