About Event

How do we keep stories alive and resonant in a fast-moving digital world? Leigh Sachwitz, Founder and Principal of the award-winning studio flora&faunavisions, believes the answer lies in emotionally-driven, immersive design. In this Futurespaces session, she’ll explore how technology can be used, not just to captivate but to connect, preserve, and pass on stories to new generations.

Drawing on four significant projects — namely, The Ring Cycle, Genius: Da Vinci, Utopian Garden, and Flying Apsarus — Leigh will share how her team uses immersive storytelling, interdisciplinary collaboration, and digital innovation. Each project is a case study in designing emotion-led experiences that sit on the forefront of technological advancement.

Attendees can expect a deep dive into Leigh and her team’s process, along with fresh insights into the future of narrative design, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the power of technology to keep human stories front and center in a digital world.

Join us Thursday, June 5 for a live presentation from Leigh, followed by a Q&A.

About Leigh

Leigh Sachwitz is the founder and creative director of flora&faunavisions, the Berlin-based studio renowned for crafting emotionally resonant, tech-driven immersive experiences. She is an internationally accomplished artist, designer, curator, and creative director. Trained as an architect in Glasgow and shaped by the experimental energy of 1990s Berlin, Leigh began by transforming the city’s post-wall spaces with ephemeral installations that fused light, sound, and architecture. What started as underground interventions evolved into genre-defining work across performance, music, art, and brand experience.

Today, she leads a multidisciplinary team pushing the boundaries of storytelling through technology—creating everything from 360° projections and live 3D mapping to large-scale interactive environments. Whether directing for iconic venues like Volksbühne or building sensory journeys for global audiences, Leigh brings vision, precision, and a deep understanding of how to move people through space and feeling.

The Ring Cycle, a fusion of classical opera and cutting-edge technology to create the first ever digital production of Richard Wagner's epic 'Ring des Nibelungen’.

Genius: Da Vinci, a multisensory journey into the brilliance of Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpieces and inventions.

Flying Asparas, a musical theatrical experience that reimagines travel narratives through digital art to recreate the ancient art created by Buddhist monks between 300-800 AD in the Mogao Caves.

Utopian Garden, a 45-minute story-based fully-immersive interactive experience driven by co-creation.
