ASPIRE (a community of Asian Professionals for Innovation, Resilience, and Excellence) invites you to our next conversation series event, bringing together a diverse community of professionals passionate about innovation, resilience, and excellence. This event, in partnership with Asian Hustle Network (AHN) and Australia-China Young Professionals Initiative (ACYPI), is a unique opportunity to connect with fellow professionals who are making waves in their respective industries.

Hear from Judy Gao, Board Chair and CEO of the Australia-China Young Professionals Initiative (ACYPI), the single largest NFP organisation for young professionals and entrepreneurs in Australia-China relations. She leads a global team serving over 4,000 members across nine cities (Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Guangzhou), driving impactful initiatives to strengthen ties between Australia and China.

Judy is a trailblazer in community development, Australia-Asia relations, and multicultural affairs, Judy is the first female and Asian heritage Board Member of the AFL Asia Advisory Board, expanding AFL community clubs in over 20 Asian countries. She is also the founding executive Board Director of Executive Wealth Circle Australia Community Engagement Inc, connecting Asian Australian entrepreneurs with the broader community. As a re-elected CPA Victoria Divisional Councillor for a consecutive two terms of six years, Judy has been serving and representing 40,000 CPA Victoria members, breaking new ground as the first councillor with Chinese heritage when elected.

Another significant wave was when she changed her career from CPA to Strategic Communications! Earned state endorsements from Victoria’s Ministers on her board and multicultural intelligence and received global recognition at the Asia Society Asia Game Changer Awards and Australia China Alumni Awards 2023!

This intimate portrait explores the journey of a woman retracing her steps across cultures to uncover her identity, offering profound insights into the Asian-Australian experience. With extraordinary footage from the 1950s to the present day, Reunion addresses themes of belonging, cultural heritage, and connection beyond borders​.
