Omdena Impact Octo-thon
We are thrilled to announce our upcoming October Hackathon, where we’ll focus on creating impactful solutions to address pressing challenges faced by local communities. This hackathon is designed to inspire innovation and collaboration, with participants tasked to develop solutions that drive positive change at the grassroots level.
Hackathon Challenge
The goal of this hackathon is to build solutions that can directly benefit local communities in areas such as education, healthcare, sustainability, and public safety. Teams will work on projects that offer practical, tech-driven answers to real-world problems.
Participants can focus on building solutions like:
-Community-driven education platforms
-Public health and safety awareness tools
-Sustainable resource management apps
-AI-powered solutions for local governance
-Tools for promoting civic engagement
-Or any other Impact Solution
Prizes
-Top 3 Teams/Winners get featured on Omdena
-Opportunity to become a Chapter Lead for a local chapter & start your own challenge
-Featured in an article or tutorial on Omdena
-Opportunity to Join us for Upcoming Innovation Challenges
-Featured upon submission of article or tutorial
How to Participate
Join us online for an unforgettable experience.
All participants must complete these steps:1. Apply for a seat at the Luma Event.
2. Create or join a team. (We prefer up to 5 members per team but Solo Warriors are also welcomed). You can communicate with team members at any platform.
3. Free to use any framework, library, AI agents, Local LLMs, Groq or any open source tools. We do prefer a simple application using streamlit or Gradio or similar. You are welcome to build upon other similar open source solutions already available but with significant improvements in original solutions.
4. Submit your project by creating a Public GitHub Repo like "Omdena_Hackathon_your app/project/team name" & Submit details in the form posted on 1 Nov, 2024.
