About Event
Join us for an easy-to-moderate, dog-friendly hike in Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park in Oakland.
Once part of a vast old-growth forest, the East Bay Hills were heavily logged between the 1840s and 1860s to support California's building boom. Today, you can still find old-growth redwoods amidst a thriving forest of second-growth trees. The park's rich history and diverse ecosystem make it an ideal location to experience the beauty and resilience of the East Bay redwoods. Dogs are allowed off-leash.
The parking lot is likely to be busy by 9:00am but you can park along the road. We'll meet at the water fountain and start walking at 9:10. We should be back at the cars by 10:00.
