Your body on stress: A somatic introduction to fight, flight, freeze and regulation
In this session, we’ll explore the body’s natural stress responses - fight, flight, and freeze - and what happens physiologically when we encounter perceived threat or overwhelm.
We’ll introduce the concept of the Window of Tolerance as a way to understand how we move through these states and how our capacity for regulation can expand over time.
We'll see how somatic practices support us when we are disconnected from self and overwhelmed:
we begin to recognise the early signals of dysregulation, empowering us to intervene with care before becoming overwhelmed
learn how to support ourselves in the moment — when we are caught in a stress response
overtime, we build greater resilience and emotional flexibility
By connecting in a group, we support our individual and collective regulation, remind each other that we are not alone and create a field where healing, presence and transformation become more accessible.
📌 This session is part of a 4-part series introducing Somatic and Nervous System Work
Each session combines theory, experiential practices and group connection as a way to reconnect with the body, understand how our emotional states and overall well-being are deeply governed by the nervous system and learn practical tools to support yourself in moments of challenge, stress or overwhelm.
These sessions are for you if:
🌿 You are curious about somatic work and want a gentle, grounded introduction
🌿 You feel disconnected from your body and recognise how this impacts your energy, emotions and relationships
🌿 You struggle with anxiety, overwhelm, low energy, or find it hard to relax and be present
🌿 You long for a more compassionate, embodied way of relating to yourself and others
Important: Please note this is a women only group!
