FOAM Meetup #1
ETH SD is excited to be part of the FOAM Trust Zone Program Beta to set up a FOAM network in San Diego!
So what is FOAM?
FOAM provides the tools to enable a crowdsourced map and decentralized location services. You can call this a proof of location service where the hardware nodes use extremely precise clocks that allow them to geolocate each other and anyone that wants to use the network.
The main value of FOAM is providing proof of location - or the ability to log time, date, and location onto a blockchain in a provable way.
FOAM helps solve many issues such as location spoofing that affects many applications like Helium, Ride services like Lyft, and location-based games like Pokemon Go.

What is this meetup about?
We want to get the San Diego community involved in helping set up the necessary hardware to set up a FOAM trust zone. What we will be doing during this first meetup is brainstorming 4 locations all within half a mile of each other where we can set up the nodes. We will also be assembling the nodes, so get your hardware hats on!
Is there an incentive?
Yes! We've got a grant from FOAM to set up this Trust Zone so every participant will be rewarded with $FOAM tokens, yay!
