About Event

Co-hosted by: the World Bank’s Women, Business and the Law and the United Nations Foundation

As we face a future shaped by rapid technological advancement, climate disruption, and evolving social dynamics, sustaining progress toward gender equality will require renewed commitments and bold, intersectional action.

This session will explore how far we’ve come in expanding opportunities for women’s economic participation and leadership - and what it will take to protect and build on those gains in a rapidly changing world. Through a dynamic and reflective conversation, we will celebrate progress, reflect on lessons learned, and chart strategies for a resilient, inclusive future.

Together, we’ll examine:

  • How to engage men and boys in reshaping harmful gender norms

  • How to unlock the full potential of women entrepreneurs

  • What it takes to close the digital gender divide and ensure women thrive in tech and green economies

  • The policies, investments, and cross-sector efforts needed to equip women with tools, support, and representation

Key Questions We’ll Explore

  • How can we ensure that recent gains in gender equality are protected and expanded in an uncertain global context?

  • What are effective strategies for engaging men and boys as allies in advancing gender equity?

  • How can we harness technology and AI to empower women while addressing digital divides and emerging risks?

  • What policies and financing strategies can unlock opportunity for women entrepreneurs?
