IDT Symposium: Participant Rights and Terms of Service

​Join us to discuss a theoretical and legal framework for participant rights on e-democracy platforms. We're aiming to produce a sample or template Terms of Service for platforms and to inform Metagov's other work on building a Data Commons. To do this, we've been exploring tensions between ethics of consent vs. reciprocity vs. participation, ensuring individual vs. collective user control, the role of privacy vs. publicity in democratic processes, participants' rights vs. obligations, and more.
