​Dr. Mikhail Klassen is an expert on artificial intelligence and works at the intersection of AI and space. His work focusses on understanding how the world is changing using satellite data and cutting-edge AI models. In a past life, he built a venture-backed tech startup in the aerospace sector, which was acquired in 2023.

​Mikhail has a PhD in computational astrophysics from McMaster University and a B.Sc. in applied physics from Columbia University. He is the host of the Vancouver AI Salon, a venue for debating with the meaning and impact of AI on society.

​Kris Krüg - techartist, quasi-sage, and cyberpunk anti-hero from the future - joins us as co-host and moderator for this landmark screening.

​As founder of Future Proof Creatives and a possibility hacker helping shape the future of Vancouver's AI ecosystem, KK brings his signature blend of technical insight and creative audacity to guide our exploration of AGI's implications.
