How do we turn ideas into action? Join us for a collaborative session on championing a shift toward humane technology and making lasting change in your teams, organizations, and communities.

👉 What to expect:

  • Engage in interactive discussions and group reflections to turn ideas into impact.

  • Optional: A digital device for note-taking.

Quick note:
Doors open at 5:30 pm if you'd like to get settled or help us set up. We'll provide sushi, snacks and refreshments while supplies last. And we'll start promptly at 6pm.

Parking & Transportation

🚗 Parking

  • Street Parking: Limited metered parking is available near the venue. Be sure to check time limits and restrictions.

  • Nearby Parking Garages:

    • Fifth & Mission Garage (833 Mission St.) – Large public garage, ~10 min walk.

    • Townsend Garage (153 Townsend St.) – Closer but smaller, ~5 min walk.

  • 🚕 Rideshare Recommended: Parking can be challenging, so we encourage using Uber/Lyft if possible.

🚆 Public Transit

  • BART: The closest station is Powell Street Station, about a 15-minute walk.

  • MUNI: The T-line and N-line stop at 4th & King, just a 5-minute walk away.

  • Caltrain: Coming from the South Bay? The San Francisco Caltrain Station (4th & King St.) is a short 5-minute walk.

🚲 Alternative Options

  • Bike & Scooter: Bike racks are available nearby, and Lime/Bird scooters can be a quick way to get around.

Before attending, review Module 8: Ready to Act from the Foundations of Humane Technology Course. This module will guide our discussions, covering:

  • Redefining success in technology to prioritize human well-being and systemic change.

  • Sharing stories and finding collaborators to build momentum for humane tech initiatives.

  • Identifying small but meaningful actions to drive progress.

  • Recognizing the role of service, learning, and humility in navigating resistance.

This module will serve as a springboard for discussions and actionable strategies during the event.
