BLEU: Meditation Workshop
Join us for a serene evening of sensory grounding and quiet reflection through meditation.
Guests are invited to settle into a guided Shamata meditation led by Maria Cristina Serrano. Shamata is a single point of focus meditation from Tibetan Buddhism, focusing on the breath, a mantra, or a visual image. In this case we will focus on the breath. Through consistent practice, Shamatha helps to quiet the mind, reduce restlessness, and develop a more stable and focused attention.
In combining Shamata with sound, we ease our nervous system by inviting into the present moment; a sound and scent scape, tapping into our curiosity and senses. Through gentle breathwork and stillness, Maria Cristina will lead participants inward, creating a space for personal reflection and embodied calm.
Evening Agenda
7:30PM-8PM — Guided Meditation with Maria Cristina Serrano (optional)
8PM-9PM — Exhibit open to the public
the experience takes place within BLEU—an immersive exhibition that serves as a visual meditation on presence, vulnerability, and emotional imprint. Through sculptural still life photography, the exhibiting artist explores how gestures—both physical and emotional—leave lasting marks on the body, on materials, and in memory. The work invites quiet contemplation, offering a fitting backdrop for an evening centered on intention, trace, and connection.
