

Downtown Gay History Walk at Design Week Calgary
Join the Calgary Gay History Project’s Kevin Allen on a walk through the city centre. We will highlight significant political and social events that affected the 2SLGBTQ+ community. On the way, we will pass by several former watering holes where Calgary’s queer community gathered.
The one-hour walk begins and ends at the Hyatt Regency Calgary (700 Centre Street SE), specifically at their 8th Avenue Entrance/Pride Sidewalk.
Doors open: 2:00PM
Tour beings: 2:30PM
Tour ends: 3:30PM

Accessibility Note: This event is a walking tour that will last approximately 1 hour in length. There will be short stops at various tour stops (approximately 5 minutes in duration), however seating at each location is not guaranteed. It is recommended that attendees that use a mobility aid bring this with them for their own comfort. Service Animals are welcome.
