ABOUT THE EVENT
A male venture capitalist once said, “I don’t want to talk about vaginas every Monday morning in my partner meeting.”
Although nearly every woman has a vagina, the word itself can be enough to prevent men, the majority of decision-making investors, from investing in vagina-based innovations — or women’s health in general. Female founders received only 1.9% of all venture capital funding in 2022 and female founders of women’s health companies received even less than that.
However, when it comes to innovation and improvements for women, female-led women’s health companies like Tia are poised to succeed.
Female-led healthcare companies address an otherwise overlooked market and have successful, skillful leaders at their helm. They have already started to see major successes too: Tia had some of the largest fundraising rounds for women’s health companies ever. As of 2023, the company’s total funding reached about $150 million. (Source: Crunchbase News)
Sit down with Tia's co-founder Carolyn Witte to discuss the strategic success behind their historical fundraises, sustained growth, and loyal members.
ABOUT CAROLYN WITTE
Carolyn Witte is the Co-Founder & CEO of Tia — the next-gen women's healthcare platform creating a new standard of care for women. In her role as CEO, Carolyn has helped build Tia's loved and trusted brand, human-centered patient experience, and prestigious partnerships with leading health systems across the country.
