​​​​Meet Robert Yuen, CEO and Co-Founder of Monograph Inc

​​​Robert Yuen is the CEO and Co-Founder of Monograph, a project and performance management platform for architects and engineers. With three degrees in Architecture and a decade of experience, Robert recognized the need for better business tools and developed Monograph to address the challenges facing A/E professionals.

​About Monograph:

​Backed by renowned venture firms like Hustle Fund, Homebrew, Index Ventures, and Tiger Global, Monograph is a vertical SaaS business solving back-of-house project and performance management for architects and engineers. They help over 1,300 firms, employing 10,000 individuals, with $4 billion in project fees today. Monograph assists small businesses in running their operations every day by tracking time, staying within budget, invoicing, collecting payments, and managing payroll.

​Why Robert built Monograph: 

​As a trained architect, Robert experienced many of the common challenges that plague architecture and engineering firsthand. What inspired him then and continues to inspire him today is the joy he finds in helping the industry build, grow, and manage their businesses effectively.

​The idea for Monograph came in 2018 when Robert and his co-founders noticed many firms struggling to monitor their business performance accurately. The tracking systems in place often failed to integrate data effectively, relying on outdated systems and disjointed spreadsheets, making information on projects, budgets, time, and clients both unusable and unreliable.

​They incorporated in 2019, and since then, their mission has been to always serve architects and engineers.
