About Event

A practitioner in the Vajrayana Buddhist tradition, Rafael Diaz is a 3rd year MDiv student at Union Theological Seminary, co-founder of Lancaster Stands Up, and currently works as a Community Chaplain Intern at Bhumisparsha, an online sangha founded by his teachers Lama Rod Owens and Lama Justin Von Budjoss.

Together we will explore practices of liberation that acknowledge oppression and suffering in its various forms, creating a space of rest, challenge, and freedom to aid us in our struggle to stay grounded, build connected and resilient communities, and address the inner and outer afflictions that face us all.

This Community Meditation offering is open and welcoming to people of all faith and spiritual backgrounds, including folks with no meditation experience. These hybrid in-person/online sessions will last an hour and typically include a guided meditation practice followed by group discussion or a dharma talk. These sessions are free to all and will be supported by pay-what-you-can donations.
