Research, technology and innovation partnerships: uncovering new bilateral opportunity
UK/Romania Business returns to the Palace of Westminster for the launch of a new project to enhance research, technology and innovation partnerships between the UK and Romania, and across the wider region.
Featuring panel contributions from Biomentorhub, the Black Sea Special Interest Group, EIT Hub UK and Oxentia, and supported by Launch Romania, Magurele Science Park, the Romanian Space Initiative, Transilvania Executive College, Transilvania IT Cluster and UEFISCDI, the opening event highlights ongoing and emerging activities, and explores ways to strengthen future initiatives and expand their impact.

Biomentorhub is an online platform with the objectives to connect young students interested to identify study programs and perform research in biosciences and medicine, with mentors with academic and research experience in these fields of study, and to support specialists from the Romanian diaspora who have research experience in biosciences and medicine, and are interested to find professional and collaboration opportunities in Romania, by identifying mentors from the academic, governmental and industry sectors, who can offer them guidance.
The DOORS Black Sea Special Interest Group has been formed as part of Developing Optimal and Open Research Support for the Black Sea (DOORS), a €9 million EU-funded research project, linking science, policy, and industry for critical Black Sea regeneration. The DOORS programme has built a first of its kind Digital Observatory for the Black Sea to support the Blue Economy and knowledge transfer to value the Black Sea at a time of unprecedented change
EIT Hub UK is an outreach location of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). The Hub creates synergies between the EIT community and the UK innovation ecosystem to support the growth of innovative startups and increase the numbers of EU – UK collaborative projects together with the EIT Knowledge Innovation Communities (KICs).
