About Event

One in six people moving through a world not designed with them in mind. Systems that overlook them. At times, even push back.

To navigate that every day takes more than strength.
It takes resilience—the kind that adapts, persists, and redefines what’s possible.

And in a world facing deep uncertainty, that’s not just inspiring.
It’s something we all need to learn from.

Join us for an interactive, immersive experience featuring the Skoll Disability Inclusion Leaders—visionary individuals who are moving mountains and shifting systems around the world to be more inclusive. This isn’t a panel. It’s a dynamic, participatory journey into what it means to lead with resilience, purpose, and vision.

What to Expect

This session unfolds in two interactive acts:

Act I: Resilience in Challenging Times
Facilitated by Bernard Chiira (Founder, Assistive Technologies for Disability Trust – Kenya)

Short interviews with:

  • Maryangel Garcia-Ramos – Women Enabled International (Mexico)

  • Hauwa Ojeifo – She Writes Woman (Nigeria)

  • Nguyen Tran Thuy Tien – PARD Vietnam (Vietnam)

  • Mohua Paul – Access Bangladesh Foundation (Bangladesh)

Following the conversation, the audience will reflect and share insights in small, rotating groups—deepening connection and generating collective learning.

Act II: Adaptive Leadership in the Face of Adversity
Facilitated by Melissa Malzkuhn (Founder, Motion Light Lab – USA)

Short interviews with:

  • Dr. Satendra Singh – Docs with Disabilities (India)

  • Julius Mbura – inABLE (Kenya)

  • Hudson Asiema – Deaf Elimu Plus (Kenya)

  • Karla Henson – Lifehaven Centre for Independent Living (Philippines)

The audience will again be invited to reflect, shift perspectives, and contribute their own thoughts on adaptive leadership—what it means, what it takes, and what it can unlock.

Why You Should Attend

This is more than an event—it’s a chance to be inspired by some of the most resilient leaders working today, and to connect with your own capacity for adaptive leadership in difficult times.

You’ll leave with a renewed sense of what’s possible—for yourself, your work, and your world.

Space is limited—RSVP required to be part of this powerful, human conversation.
