Our feet are our body’s foundation, yet they are often overlooked in movement practice. This workshop will explore foot function, mobility, and strength, offering strategies to address common issues like foot pain, collapsed arches, and limited range of motion. You’ll also learn how healthy, adaptable feet can improve whole-body alignment and efficiency.
This session is ideal for anyone looking to build a more resilient and integrated movement practice, starting from the ground up.
Mixed Movement Arts Monthly Technique Spotlight Clinics w/ Leah Woods
Many chronic pain issues and injuries arise from not knowing how to care for our joints or move with intention. The Mixed Movement Arts (MMA) Monthly Technique Clinics, led by movement artist and educator Leah Woods (she/they), are designed to provide you with the knowledge and tools to refine your movement practice and support long-term well-being.
In these 90-minute workshops, we’ll explore mobility, biomechanics, and somatic education to help you move with greater clarity, ease, and efficiency. Whether you’re an experienced mover or just starting, these sessions offer a focused, sustainable approach to improving the way you move and feel in your body.
Why These Clinics Matter
In most group classes, there isn’t time to address the finer details of how our bodies move. These clinics provide a focused space to dive into those details, offering education that supports all aspects of your movement, from sports and dance to daily activities. Think of it as upgrading the “software” for your body to better care for your “hardware.”
What Others Are Saying
“I was having bad pinching shoulder pain for months and tried everything I knew from my extensive movement education. It was limiting me from being able to dance and teach. One session with Leah and the pain was gone! Her expertise and level of detailed understanding of the body, alignment, and injury is incredible. Can’t recommend her highly enough.”
