Founders Fireside by The Dune, the Entrepreneurs' Venture Space
Being an entrepreneur doesn’t have to be a lonely journey.
In a world where building a business is often seen as a solitary pursuit, it’s important to recognize the power of community, collaboration, and shared experiences. The event will highlight the stories of entrepreneurs like Au Diya, founder of Sneaky Surprise, and Dylan Seah, Director of SSR Manufacturing, who have built their successful ventures not just through personal grit, but also by leaning on networks, partnerships, and collective wisdom. By sharing their journeys, they will show that while the road to entrepreneurship is challenging, it doesn’t have to be walked alone.
Au Diya is the founder of Sneaky Surprise, a cookie brand that started with one soft batch and a whole lot of heart.
Originally a data analyst at CERN, studying dark photons, Au Diya never planned on becoming a baker. However, during the pandemic, baking with her toddlers turned into more than just a pastime, it became the foundation of a thriving business that has now served thousands.
From rebranding under pressure to opening a kiosk in Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Au Diya has learned the true meaning of building a business from the ground up. With no investors- only grit, vision, and a generous amount of butter (and chocolate), she’s experienced firsthand that being an entrepreneur doesn’t have to be a lonely journey.
Dylan Seah, Director of SSR Manufacturing, strategically expands Malaysia’s recycling value chain. Building on a foundation in metal trading, he now pioneers metal recovery systems and sustainable household waste solutions – transforming scrap into circular resources while redefining growth beyond traditional models.
About Founders Fireside by The Dune
Founders Fireside is a weekly pause to breathe, reflect, and hear the stories that don’t make it into pitch decks. No panels. No spotlight. Just honest conversations around the real stuff - the burnout, the pivots, the quiet wins. When we hear others speak their truth, we often find our own again.
