Yuliana's Birthday Fundraising Party for Ukraine
Dear friends,
It's my birthday on July 5th, and this year, I'm planning a fundraising birthday party in South London. It's hard to celebrate while my family remains in Ukraine facing the ongoing war but I still want to bring friends together and celebreate life.
Before the war, birthdays always meant fundraising for a cause I cared about, usually education back home. This year, I want to create something unique: a chance to gather inspiring people, connect, make new friends, and raise awareness about the war in Ukraine.
I invite you to celebrate life together with me and to honour the resilience of Ukraine.
Instead of gifts, I'm asking you to join me in supporting the Free World Defence, a Ukrainian NGO delivering cars to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and Volia Fund, a non-profit platform in the US fostering vital tech-rich projects in Ukraine.
My birthday wish is to raise $5,000 for a DJI Mavic 3 Thermal Drone. These advanced drones offer a distinct tactical edge: their thermal imaging sees through smoke and darkness, pinpointing enemy positions and locating wounded soldiers.
Government aid provides essential support, but these specialised drones are crucial for Ukrainian forces to defend their homeland.
Who are we raising for? The 3rd Separate Special Operations Center "East". These elite troops, like the American SOF or the British SAS, perform daring missions deep behind enemy lines and engage in special operations along the contact line.
