Bear Mountain Hike
Girls Gone Hiking is hitting the trail again this September with a day trip to Bear Mountain! Expect a challenging climb, but the sweeping summit views of the Hudson Valley make it all worth it.
Bear Mountain Loop Trail

Day of Itinerary:
8:30 am: Meet @ Grand Central Terminal to catch the 8:55am Metro Train North headed towards Peekskill (tickets are $14 each way)
10:00 am: Arrive at Peekskill Station and Uber together to Suffern Bear Mountain Trailhead (15 min ride)
10:30am: Start hiking the loop!
1:30pm: Grab a casual lunch at Bear Mountain Inn (feel free to also pack a lunch!)
2:30pm: Uber back to Peekskill station to catch the 3:36pm train back
4:50pm: Arrive back at Grand Central
What to bring: snacks, 1-2L of water, comfortable hiking/walking shoes, layers
Leashed dog friends are also welcome!
We’ll bring: electrolytes, bug spray & spf:)
Travel fare: $15 train ticket each way + $5 to split short Uber ride to/from park
