Budgeting for School-Based Mental Health Webinar

​Opportunity Labs is thrilled to share new resources designed to help district administrators—especially directors of student services or the equivalent—adopt a data-driven, values-based approach that enhances and sustains school-based mental health services. 

​The webinar will feature a discussion on the use of these resources with Dr. Sharon Hoover, Co-Director of the National Center for School Mental Health at the University of Maryland; Dr. Jessica Swanson, Independent Consultant and former Deputy Chief, Finance at DC Public School and Edunomics Senior Fellow at Georgetown University; and, Victoria Bustos, Executive Director, Student Support Services at San Antonio Independent School District.

• ​The Tool for Examining Mental Health Investments supports leaders to systematically link expenditures to key data, enabling them to measure their spending impact. 

• ​Building a Statement of Values to Inform School-Based Mental Health Investments outlines a process for defining the core values to inform investment decisions. 

• ​The case study highlights how leaders in the San Antonio Independent School District utilized these resources to assess and align their investments with their priorities and values.
