BRUSSELS: BOOK PRESENTATION INVISIBLE CHAOS

​Lina Kusaite is known for her drawings that find their way to illustrations, character designs, children’s books and editorial publishing, as well as murals in interior design. She also organises workshops and creative labs, where her interest in ecology, ecosystems and the imaginary finds its way to an audience—from children to adults—through playing, cooking, colours, smells, and tastes.

​This book brings together a selection of works, binding these reciprocal influences of working individually and collectively. Since these practices are not considered separately, this book is assembled chronologically. As such it follows life and work, showing how inspiration and mutual nourishment are one circular movement. The diagram designed by Lina and Guillaume Ribault serves as a key to navigate through this vast body of work.

​The core of Lina’s artistic work is systematic yet chaotic, logical but then not, in its wish to communicate and embody our planet’s invisible connectedness, and how growth functions through ecosystems. 

​The layered complexity of her work is rooted in this core premise—and always starts from the body, the hand, and the wish to show how our mundane life can spark the imagination, when "everything is important". Attention to all details is therefore of great importance in her drawing practice. Creativity, aesthetics and play are her ways to communicate, educate and raise awareness for our complex planet
