About Event

Political Declarations are fantastic at setting out a shared mission, with clear ambitions and targets – but what happens when these ambitions have to be implemented and funded at national level? Join our panel of experts as they discuss the potential ‘triple win’ for noncommunicable diseases (NCDs): better health outcomes for people, reduced pressures on health systems and increased revenue available for sustainable health financing.

Join this session to learn more about:

  • Countries that have successfully implemented fiscal measures to drive progress on universal health coverage

  • Examples of healthcare interventions that can deliver for people and systems alike (e.g. screening for chronic kidney disease)

  • Key challenges and opportunities in NCD financing, with a focus on advocacy ahead of the UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs and Mental Health
