About Event

Join this panel to hear current college undergraduates answer your questions about extracurriculars in high school! We'll discuss how to engage in meaningful extracurriculars throughout your high school journey as well as how to discuss extracurriculars in your college applications.

Here is more information about our panelists:

Richard is a junior at Harvard, studying physics and computer science. In high school, he was involved with research, quizbowl, local and school instrumental music, and local science outreach/volunteering.

Christopher Navarro-Barajas is an incoming freshman at New York University, majoring in Business but undecided on what to concentrate. He graduated from Equipo Academy in Las Vegas, NV, with 4.0+ Honors. Christopher participated in sports, such as basketball, and held various leadership positions, such as Sunshine Commissioner and Youth Leader. He is a first-gen low-income student, and he applied to over 20 colleges while being accepted into Honors Colleges.

TaYoung Chung is a current freshman at Georgetown Univeristy's Qatar campus, planning on majoring in International Economics. She graduated from her high school in Tokyo, Japan with a 3.75 unweighted GPA while managing challenging AP coursework. She has participated in various extracurricular activities, ranging from working as a lifeguard to a tutor, volunteer, lead percussionist, and more, while simultaneously engaging in sports such as basketball and tennis. She has also won several awards at local, national, and international competitions.
