Volunteering Untapped NYC: Battery Urban Farm
Volunteering Untapped NYC is on a mission to build community through volunteering. We host events every month on the second Saturday and partner with local organizations around the city.
June is Volunteering Untapped NYC's 1 year anniversary!! And to celebrate, we will be... doing more volunteering! This month we're heading over to The Battery Urban Farm to help maintain their 240,000 square feet of perennial gardens, care for crops, and support the beautification of the lawns and grounds.
Please remember to wear clothes that can get messy, closed toe shoes, and sunscreen! Gardening and farming supplies will be provided.
Afterwards we'll head to Sixpoint Brewery @ Brookfield Place to hang out and to celebrate.
About The Battery Urban Farm
The Battery Urban Farm is an educational farm where New York City’s students, residents, and visitors experience sustainable farming, enjoy tasting organic fresh foods, and learn environmental stewardship.
Socials
Volunteering Untapped socials are an optional way to further socialize with other volunteers; we encourage everyone to come out to the social! Food and drinks will be available to purchase.
