Attendees can expect to:
Learn about the historical significance of the White Lives Matter and Black Lives Matter social movements and provide contextualization.
Examine whether it is still necessary to understand and contextualize these social movements.
Identify approaches to foster meaningful and positive civil discourse rooted in public service values such as democracy, ethical practice, and social equity.
Explore how citizens and public service leaders can help engender the cultivation of racial healing with moral and cultural humility
A session recording will be made available to registrants, and ASPA DSJ and SPAE members for future use as a teaching tool (so if you cannot attend but want to view the recording, register to be added to the list).

Development of this initiative was led by Rachael Emas (George Washington University) & José Luis Irizarry (University of Illinois Springfield) and is co-sponsored by ASPA’s Section on Public Administration Education (SPAE).
