#RaiseTheGame Festival Of Food Evening @ Develop:Brighton 2024
#RaiseTheGame (RTG), ustwo games and Jagex invites you to come and enjoy the night with us socialising by the sea, and surrounded by delicious food of different cuisines!
Network, mingle and connect with others from the RTG community and the wider games industry at an event made to be as inclusive as possible; so regardless if you are a parent, someone who doesn't wish to drink and/or have accessibility needs - everyone is welcome!
Charitable Partners & #RaiseTheGame Network
Thanks to our sponsors ustwo games and Jagex, we have the whole Shelter Hall venue to ourselves. With this in mind we wanted to share the space with advocacy and charitable driven groups and organisations within our networks to promote themselves and what they are doing around EDI in industry.
These partners include:
Each organisation will be at the event in different capacities, so keep an eye on their social channels for any updates and meet them at the event If you wish to find out more about what the organisations do and network with them.
We will also be having Triangular Pixels join us to showcase their upcoming VR game at the event.
Food & Drinks
Shelter Hall has 7 independent kitchens of different cuisines and 2 bars. For ease of ordering in a single transaction, ordering can done on your phone via QR code on the tables. All food and drink ordered this way will be delivered by waiters, but as the kitchens are operated independently dishes will arrive as and when they’re ready. Also all dietary requirement information will be listed within the online system the QR code takes you too!
We will also have a voucher code in use during the event that applying to anything you order will make it FREE! Yes, that's right free, which is why it is important to remember the voucher code which will be shared with those signed up before and during the event.
In celebration of Monument Valley's 10th anniversary, not only will ustwo games have a pop-up area themed around the game at the event, they will also have a special cocktail and mocktail orderable during the event alongside limited cupcakes.
Venue Accessibility
The venue is fully wheelchair accessible with ramps down to the beach entrance and lift available for use to all floors including the entrance by the main road.
We are also looking into creating a quiet space area for those that might want a reduced sensory area to chill in.
Those attending with babies and small children will be happy to know there are baby-changing facilities and plenty of highchairs available.
Xtra Information
Safeguarding - We will be working with the venue to provide attendees with the safest possible environment. We will be doing this by having security present at the event, a code of conduct in place and ensuring safety measures are met - such as capacity limits are complied, hand sanitiser available during the event and located throughout the venue. We will review this aspect daily and update all attendees accordingly.
Traffic Light Name & Pronouns Badges/Stickers - People will be able to spotlight their personal space and networking comfortability through the use of a colour coded name badge/sticker system with pronouns.
Use Of The Outside Terrace Area - The venue have asked though that all guests must remain seated when drinking outdoors in-line with their licensing restrictions. We ask that all attendees respect and follow this rule!
This information and more will also be present in a digital document we create and send out to attendees a week before the event.
