Last year was packed with clashes and battles as Tenderly War Room Games moved from distant locations in Asia to the heart of Europe, closing the year at the crossroads in the historical Istanbul during Devconnect! 🎉
We’re kickstarting off another year of Tenderly War Room Games with Denver as the first destination. 🚀
Following the CTF Showdown in Istanbul, we’re excited to host another battle of wits with friends from Consensys Diligence. As masters of their craft, they created a new and unique experience filled with an entirely new set of challenges for aspiring hackers.
Get your gear ready, assemble the team, brush up on the exploits, and prepare for battle!
While everyone is welcome to join, keep in mind that this is a true clash. A certain level of programming knowledge and/or experience with Ethereum is not only expected but necessary.

The Rocky Mountains. Denver.
For years, this has long been the stomping ground for both degens and builders. You may recall the early days when pink unicorns and furries came to meet their people, bouncing around on cold brew, brainstorming new use cases and products by day. By night, they raved in old, abandoned churches, riding the high of their imaginary meme coin supply. Hey, the price went up.
Those were the days, and it sure felt like it lasted for years.
Then, it all came crashing down. One after the other.
It all started with minor reentrancies, vampire attacks, and millions stolen. However, it was still the early days, even when the Feds and the NSA stepped in, marking the era of The Great Hunt. Everywhere, you could hear talks of identity-changing face surgeries and hitmen hired on the Dark Web, hunting 1st and 2nd cycle founders hiding in old WWII bunkers.
Nowadays, things are different. Who could have predicted that things would get worse? Hackers are now hacking neurals, time has literally become money, and Ether is running in everyone’s veins, like literally… as “neuralchains” became a thing. Not everything, today everyone is on the blockchain.
We always miss those early, carefree years. Yet, you felt it coming and prepared on time at those weird navy seals nerd bootcamps. War Rooms were they called, right?

Introducing the War Room Games @ETHDenver 2024!
Hosted by Tenderly and Consensys Diligence (security masterminds behind the challenges), the War Room Games is your stage to showcase your hacking skills.
The event takes the form of a Capture the Flag game, with multiple challenges and scenarios designed to test your knowledge and resourcefulness.
You’ll receive an exploit report of a potential hack in a few stages. It’s up to you and your teammates to patch the vulnerabilities and emerge victorious.
Faced with a unique challenge, you’ll get a chance to learn new skills, master cutting-edge tooling, and gain the confidence to handle high-pressure situations.
We expect the battle to be fierce and competition strong, with degens flocking to Denver for the biggest US Web3 festival. The clock is ticking, so come prepared.
The top-performing teams will win some nice prizes:
1st place - 3000 DAI
2nd place - 1500 DAI
3rd place - 500 DAI
Even if you don’t win, you’ll walk away with new Web3 frens, valuable knowledge, and an appreciation for the importance of security and monitoring in Web3.
