Organised by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and its Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs), Europe’s largest innovation network, “The Next decade of innovations for the future of Europe” conference celebrates the 10th anniversary of the EIT Regional Innovation Scheme (EIT RIS). This is a key initiative under Horizon Europe aimed at reducing regional disparities in innovation across Europe. The event brings together ambitious minds from Central, Eastern, and Southern Europe offering a unique platform for strategic discussions on boosting capacities to build a competitive and resilient Europe.

The event will feature inspiring keynotes, panel discussions and fireside chats with high-level speakers from the policy, business, and education sectors.  Engaging discussions will help explore how modest and emerging innovators can strengthen their ecosystems, the key challenges and opportunities ahead, the different initiatives that EIT RIS offers as support, and the best practices learned so far.

In celebration of the 8th edition of the EIT Jumpstarter programme, the whole-day conference will also host the EIT Jumpstarter Grand Finals, featuring a live pitching session followed by an awards ceremony. The flagship pre-accelerator initiative has helped create nearly 120 start-ups, over 2,100 new jobs, and raise EUR 150M. Attendees will also have the opportunity to discover regional innovators from the Western Balkans and Ukraine through dedicated EIT Infrabooster and EIT Red Kalyna presentation sessions.

Join us in shaping the next decade of innovation for the future of Europe!

ABOUT EIT

The EIT strengthens Europe’s ability to innovate by powering solutions to pressing global challenges and by nurturing entrepreneurial talent to create sustainable growth and skilled jobs in Europe. The EIT is an EU body and an integral part of Horizon Europe, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. The Institute supports dynamic pan-European partnerships, EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities, among leading companies, research labs and universities. Together with their leading partners, the EIT Community offers a wide range of innovation and entrepreneurship activities across Europe: entrepreneurial education courses, business creation and acceleration services and innovation driven research projects.

ABOUT EIT Regional Innovation Scheme

The EIT launched the EIT Regional Innovation Scheme (EIT RIS) in 2014 as its main tool contributing to reducing Europe’s regional innovation disparities. It helps innovators from eligible countries to access EIT activities, creates links among regional innovation actors and offers tailor-made programmes to support moderate and emerging innovating countries and the EU Outermost Regions to build their innovation capacity. The EIT RIS has created a dense and resilient network of people and organisations, supported by the EIT’s nine Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs): EIT Climate-KIC, EIT Digital, EIT InnoEnergy, EIT Health, EIT RawMaterials, EIT Food, EIT Manufacturing, EIT Urban Mobility, and EIT Culture & Creativity.
