About Event

Join us online for a transformative experience where we explore what triggers are, how they impact us and why, learn more about rage, why it arises and how to start managing rage, and delve into the process of reparenting ourselves. This workshop is designed to help you understand your emotional responses better, develop healthier coping mechanisms and support yourself more kindly as you grow, change and heal.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to grow and heal together in community!

Hosted by cycle breaking trauma therapist Cath Counihan this workshop will leave you feeling nourished, educated, supported and hopeful. You will come away with a wealth of knowledge, useful cognitive and somatic tools to support yourself and most importantly, an embodied sense of how to be lovingly compassionate to yourself in your worst moments. The Q&A will provide direct access to Cath and after you have had a week to digest the content (and perhaps practise some of the new skills) you will be able to come back and ask questions in community.

During the workshop we will cover the following:

  • What triggers are

  • Neurobiology of triggers

  • Why triggers are so impactful and their relationship to behaviour in the present

  • All about our nervous systems

  • Polyvagal theory

  • Window of tolerance

  • The function of rage and the fusion of feeling states

  • Understanding the complexity of your emotional responses

  • Getting to know your rage and steps to start to manage this

  • How reparenting can support you and why this is a key aspect of change

And much, much more. Personal stories will be used to help make the science come alive and to reduce the shame around all of these topics.

This workshop is for you if:

  • You often hearing yourself saying 'But I am not an angry person, it doesn't make sense that I have so much rage'

  • If rage in motherhood has blindsided you

  • If you often feel 'not good enough'

  • If perfectionism is part of your makeup

  • If anger/rage as an emotion feels shameful, like it needs to be disavowed or split off of if you have no relationship to your own anger

Important notes:

  • The investment includes a 90 minute workshop + a separate Q&A a week later (I’ll send you a link for the second session to take place Wednesday the 20th of November at 1:00 PM)

  • The workshop will be recorded and you'll have 30 days to rewatch it.
