About Event

This webinar is the survival guide you need to address the common and universal frustration of dealing with challenging people at work. When traditional politeness and accommodation fail with co-workers and colleagues, we will explore other options to get work done AND navigate the emotional toll of difficult interactions. By validating the experience of those of us who've tried the "nice" approach without success, Nancy offers a more sophisticated strategy to get things done when you’re at your wits end. We will focus on:

Moving from "nice" to "effective"

Identifying different types of difficult behaviors

Setting boundaries without burning bridges

Strategic assertiveness

Managing conflict while maintaining professionalism

Advanced communication techniques for challenging situations

Practical strategies for maintaining composure and minimizing reactivity

Building resilience and sustainable strategies

Protecting your mental health in these relationships

Speaker Information:

Nancy Geller spent the first part of her career as a brand and licensing executive at such companies as Disney, Mattel, Hasbro, and NBCUniversal focusing on toys and global brands including Barbie, Hot Wheels, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and many more. As a dedicated corporate employee, Nancy has seen it all. She’s had bosses with a strategic vision but poor communication, bosses who barely knew her name, bosses who only communicate via email, and bosses who have deftly brought their teams along on their leadership journey. She’s had no boss, three bosses, and bosses who didn't even know they were her boss. had a front-row seat to the positive and career-altering impact a great leader brings to an organization. Her passion for leading, mentoring and developing super-star teams inspired Nancy to transition to Executive Coaching in February 2022. And she hasn’t looked back since!

Nancy received her ACC ICF Certification in November of 2023 and is distinctly focused on helping clients become more self-aware, discover what’s keeping them “stuck” and ultimately create more prosperity, balance and fulfillment in their work and home life. Nancy also facilitates team workshops and group coaching that can mobilize cross-functional teams to get beyond quicksand challenges, improve communication and rev up productivity.

Nancy earned a BA in English from UC Berkeley and has completed multiple employee development courses throughout her career, including the Disney Global Leadership Initiative. She lives in Los Angeles with her family and very cute dog.
