To help us ensure commitment (and cover operational costs), we ask for a $50 hold when you RSVP. If you attend, we’ll refund $45—keeping a small $5 fee to help with processing and planning. If you cancel within 48 hours or don’t show up, the full $50 will be kept.😊
✨ What’s DesignX Dinners?
An intimate dinner gathering for the design community in Toronto.
We bring together senior designers, design managers, researchers, and design-adjacent leaders for meaningful conversations over good food.
No stage, no speakers — just thoughtful dialogue in a relaxed setting.
🌀 How does it work?
You apply. We curate. You show up and have a great night. Simple as that.
A few days before the dinner, we’ll share the guest list and a private WhatsApp group to connect ahead of time.
💸 Is there a cost?
Yes — we ask for a $50 hold to confirm your seat.
If you attend, $45 will be refunded. The remaining $5 helps cover planning and operational costs.
This helps us reduce no-shows and continue organizing these small, meaningful gatherings.
📍 Where is it?
Always in downtown Toronto.
We rotate between some of our favorite restaurants — cozy spots with great food and a good vibe.
The exact location will be shared with confirmed attendees closer to the date.

💵 How much does it cost?
Typically ~$50 to cover the cost of food. We don’t profit from this — it just helps us avoid no-shows and support great venues.
📍 Where do you host the dinners?
Always in downtown Toronto. We rotate restaurants like Gia, Marben, and Bar Isabel — intimate spots with great vibes and shared plates.
👯 Can I bring a guest or friend?
Nope! We intentionally keep it small and curated. If your friend is interested, ask them to apply separately — we’d love to consider them for a future one.
📝 Will I know who's attending in advance?
Yes. We’ll send out a short attendee list and WhatsApp link a couple of days before, so you can break the ice ahead of time.
🥦 What if I have dietary restrictions?
We accommodate most dietary needs — just let us know in your application and we’ll make sure you're taken care of.
