From UX Researcher to Founder: Building a Cycle Syncing Fitness App
Join us for a candid, moderated conversation with Lizzy Palmer, a former UX researcher turned founder, as she shares the real story behind building her cycle syncing fitness app—from early user insights to launching her MVP. We’ll dive into the lessons she’s learned navigating the startup world, what it took to move from research to product, and how her background in UX continues to shape her approach.
As she now begins expanding her team, this is a unique opportunity to hear from a founder in motion—building, learning, and growing in real time. Lizzy is transparent and open to sharing any part of her journey, including launching a consumer app, building a founding team, navigating career transitions, finding the right advisors, and building in the women’s health and fitness space. Bring your questions for an open Q&A following the discussion!
Target Audience:
This workshop is designed career changers, aspiring first-hire engineers, and anyone interested in FemTech or entrepreneurship.
Speaker Information:
Lizzy Palmer made the transition from UX research to startup founder. She previously worked at Meta, Roblox, and startups. Through her own health journey, she saw a gap in women’s health and fitness and set out to close it by creating Sync N, a fitness app aligned with the female cycle.
She taught herself how to build the MVP and is now building a founding team and preparing for a public launch later this summer. Lizzy lives in NYC and loves jumping on her trampoline.
